While plenty of cars were dawning new 2026 badges at the New York International Auto Show, Jeep brought, front and center, their 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S. The Wagoneer S Limited was available to purchase online as of February but this is my first time seeing it in person. Jeep says this electrified wagoneer is their “re-entry into the midsize market”. Seeing this vehicle in person, I can see why. It’s probably the most beautiful “Jeep” I’ve ever seen, and with a price tag to show for it.

Lets get the electric badger out of the room first. There’s no engine under this hood. This SUV is fully electric. It’s powered by front and rear 400v G250kW electric motors matched with a 1 speed electric gearbox. Jeep claims it gives you up to an electrifying 600 horsepower and up to 617 pound feet of torque. The key is up to. This particular model is the limited trim which just got unveiled in february alongside the launch edition. On the limited trim you need to purchase an over the air update to match the launch edition horsepower. Upon arrival the Limited comes with 500 horsepower and 524 pound feet of torque. Still a lot of power, but a little concerning that you need to buy essentially DLC for your car to get all that your electric engines can muster.

The exterior of the Wagoneer S looks like one of the best Jeep’s I’ve ever seen. Its sleak, stylish, and not a big boxy mess like some other Jeep products in years past. This vehicle also doesn’t scream electric which I like. It simply looks like a refined, premium Jeep. And for a starting MSRP of $65,200 I would hope it did. You would be forgiven for confusing this at first glance with a Lincoln or Land Rover… until you get to the signature Jeep grill and badge. But otherwise the sleek line and shape of the car invoke a sense of sophistication and style rather than the ruggedness of other Jeep products.

On the inside you’re also greeted with a great feeling interior. The seats feel nice and bolstered and comfy to sit in. The back seats have plenty of room, even for a larger gentleman like myself. There are a few small issues though. The massive glossy black plastic along the front dash looks cheap to me and is a fingerprint magnet. What’s odd is under it you’ll find a matte plastic with glossy X’s in a pattern. This material looks an feels so much better. So why put the cheap glossy black right up front?

Additionally, Jeep has decided to put a second screen below the main one in this vehicle that controls climate, seats, vents, and massage functions. I like that its a separate, dedicated space for these controls. I, however, don’t like the fact that it’s a touch screen. Blindly fumbling for the AC controls is not a great experience and on a car is such a horrible experience. I understand wanting to put screens on everything when a vehicle is this expensive but I think more and more users want simplicity when it comes to climate and things you access all the time like volume knobs, which thankfully this car does have!

The steering wheel is the star of this show in my opinion. It has an ergonomic shape, big cushy handles, and a lovely texture all around. The wagoneer badge, while again made of glossy black plastic, is a nice touch to tell you that you indeed got the wagoneer. The button layout feels nice and intuitive.

The infotainment felt snappy enough. The 360 camera provided incredible views around the vehicle. And the digital tachometer looks nice enough. Some of these features are hard to test on a show floor but when I get my hands on a Wagoneer S I’ll be sure to write a more in depth review on the little details.

Overall the car was a stunner on the show floor of the New York International Auto Show. I look forward to taking a deeper look the 2025 Wagoneer S Limited in the future. What do you think? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
